Frequently asked questions
Welcome to Pirouette!
We are a wine shop and a restaurant.
You can go straight to the shop to pickup wine to take home, or you can sit down for lunch, happy hour or dinner. You welcome to pick a bottle in the shop and our servers will add it to your tab and open it for you to enjoy at your table. The price in the shop is the price at your table; we do not add any markups or corkage fees.
The whole shop is our bottle list.
You are welcome to settle into your seat, then head over to peruse the shelves. We also have a menu of wines by the glass or half bottle that we change regularly to highlight the spectacular wines on the shelves. Try out one of our smooth beers, our chef’s favorite cider from Basque, Spain, or a non-alcoholic drink that hits the spot.
We are cashless.
Being cashless reduces risk, and allows us to fairly distribute our tips to the whole house.
Tips to the whole house? What do you mean?
We pay our staff fair hourly wages. In addition, tips are shared with the whole house—front and back (with the exception of owners, managers & salaried staff). When you have a wonderful time with us, your tip is shared among the servers, food runners/bussers, line & prep cooks and dishwashers. A lot of excellent people are part of the experience, even if you don’t see them.
We do not add on service charges or hidden fees.
We hold free tastings in our wine shop every day.
Stop by Tuesday - Friday 5pm - 6pm and Saturday 2pm - 4pm to try some wines that are not on our by-the-glass or house wines lists. This is your chance to taste the shop! Selections change weekly, so stop by and see us.
Do you have happy hour?
We do! Drop in Tuesday - Saturday from 3pm - 6pm for a glass of house wine and a bite to eat. Check out our current menu here. We rotate our wines often, so come see what we’re pouring for sparkling, white and red.
Do you do wine dinners? Or classes? Do you cater?
We do! Check our classes and signup on our email list to stay aware of upcoming good times. If you have a private event in mind, let us help you with planning.
My friends and I want to come to your place this Friday. How can we guarantee a spot?
The best way to snag a table is to book one on Resy for parties up to 10. If your party is larger than that, send us an email and we will do our best to reserve a table for you.
